When I started nursing G my skin got extremely dry. It was chapped and hurt, but if I used a moisturizer with an oil base I broke out (talk about psycho skin). My friend sells BeautiControl products, and she gave me a few samples to try (to see what worked before I bought anything).
The sensitive skincare line is great. I can't recommend it enough. My favorite thing though, "Cell Block-CŪ Intensive Multivitamin Face Serum". I worship this stuff. It does leave my skin a little sticky until it really soaks in, so I only put it on in the evening, but it's awesome. http://www.beautipage.com/catalog/shopOnline.asp Last edited by KeelyKay : 01-06-2008 at 11:52 AM. |

My SIL started doing weekly massages with a friend and massage behind the ears and around the chin/neck area to get all the oils out through the lymph nodes. She hasn't had any acne in that area since then. It might help on the face too. If you massage from the middle and out toward your temples from your forehead out, and from your nose and cheeks out. It feels good too if you can get your SO to do it.

A good site to check on what is/isn't safe while pregnant is: Drugs in Pregnancy : SafeFetus.com
It says that Benzoyl Peroxide may not be safe.....although I think I did use it for spot treatment like you, Megan, when I was pregnant with Jax. I wonder if tea tree oil is safe. Does anyone know?? (it was not on that website) |

A completely safe option is honey (It has antibacterial properties, too). Wash your face with it in the shower, or put it on for a few minutes like a (sticky) mask and then rinse it off. |

i couldnt wear makeup at all when i was pregnant it either brought me out in a rash or made my skin very oily. I tended to take around wipes with me even before she was born as i found if i wiped my face a couple of times if i was out of washed it if i was at home i managed to calm it down slightly. hope this helps.
