C's newest one is "kiki deedee". It took us days to figure out what the heck he was asking for. He was getting so upset, saying, " I kiki deedee! I kiki deedee!!!!" We were perplexed. So, finally I turned on the TV one morning during breakfast, and it turns out he is saying 'kiki deedee' in reference to this one cartoon he has seen called Jack's Big Music Show. The reason is b/c they have a segment that he loves on one particular episode where these 2 teenage boys play violins furiously, and he is obsessed... seriously... obSESSSEEEED with it. I had to DVR it b/c he now asks for it the minute he gets out of bed and ALL DAY LONG. (I limit the viewing - don't worry.) OH, and the reason it's called "kiki deedee" to him is b/c they say "string sting a ding ding" throughout the show. At least that is the only thing I can come up with....
Sometimes I swear we need an interpreter to tell us what they want. It must be so frustrating to not be able to get your ideas across! ETA: the hilarious part is that he will pick up any "instrument" he can find, and pretend to play the violin too...at a freakishly fast pace. He has used straws, wooden spoons, leaves (outside), anything he can find. I actually got this on video one day, so maybe i'll be able to show you what i mean at some point.... Ha, K! It seems like E's list is a little more innocent than D's. LOL!
Seeing K's list reminds me that C has an odd way of saying "oranges". He loves orange slices, and he wants them all the time, but he says it like "o-shis" which you can imagine comes out mostly like "oh sh*t". He also dropped his book yesterday and said, "oh cap". I think he has heard me or DH say "oh crap". I think I need to think more about these things before they come out of my mouth. ![]() |

Lol, Megan! Yes, we really have to watch our language, now, and we have had discussions about what's okay & not okay to say. So now if we're out somewhere and we hear, "What the hell?" ds will say, "Why did that lady say 'what the heck'?" Lol! And he'll play little games with us, asking, "is it okay to say ______" just to find out what's okay. |
