I did discover one of these with Griffin today:

spitachio (pistachio)- it is really funnier in person because he is such a drooler that spit happens too!

These are all so cute! They take me back to when N was learning to talk. *sniff* A isn't much yet, but he has a few.

Asher
Most of his mispronunciations are just leaving off the ends of words.
dee-dee or dee-doo = thank you
mah-may-yee or meh meh = Naomi
Ahh-dah = Asher (The first syllable is extra long.)
bah-puh = diaper

Naomi (Our old favorites)
noo-nul = noodle (I miss this!)
cack-oo = cracker
bah-poo = diaper
cah-doh = avocado
boonce = spoon (Miss this one, too.)
kyangle = triangle
deet doo = thank you
pum-tuh = That's what she calls dribbling a basketball.

Pum-tuh is throwing me for a loop, Margs! I can't figure that one out. LOL! The rest sound pretty close to the words. I totally remember when you told us "boonce" back in the day. I can see why you miss that. It's tooo cute, and I'm not even listening to her little voice say it. I love reading all of these!

My niece use to call my sister "Uncle Kerry" It was so cute, in the middle of Easter Sunday service at church she says "Uncle Kerry, Jason is back there!" Really loud, everyone in church started laughing. Then her baby sitter started correcting her saying "It isn't proper." Kerry was upset about that. Of course Kerry was the only Aunt that was an "uncle". It was super cute.

B says this one too! I thought he was just weird for putting the beginning of words at the end. He says poonce, dise (outside), bid ix (fix it). There are more but I can't remember them right now. I couldn't figure out why he would tack the beginning onto the end like that, but he doesn't do it anymore so I guess he was just figuring it out.

My thought was that it kinda sounds like the sound a dribbling basketball makes?

Yup, Jana. That's where she came up with it. We told her it's called "dribbling", but she didn't think that made any sense whatsoever...and when I think of it - it doesn't!
