I absolutely work outside of the home. I told hubby long ago that I would not be a SAHM. I have immense respect for SAHMs but I don't have the tolerance to be one myself.
Not only do I wokr outside of home but I also go to school (usually 1, MAYBE 2 classes a semster). I am a few classes away form my associates in accounting and certificates in medical office administration as well as medical billing and coding, all of which fit wonderfully at my job (accountant at a doctor's office for which I am the only one who does private health insurance billing). I haven't decided whether or not if I will continue on to get a higher degree (it would depent a lot on whether my work was going to continue footing the bill).
Right now depending on hubby's work schedule it depends on who takes the kids to & from my in-laws/school.
For me the biggest benefit of working outside (besides the money) is being able to be myself and not just mommy or wife. I enjoy expressing the different facets of my personality: mommy, wife, worker Katy & student Katy. To me its stiffling trying to suppress any one of these sides.
You know I've never felt guilty about leaving my kids during the day. Mostly because I completely trust who I am leaving them with (my in-laws). They don't try to contradict anything we teach them (at least not the major stuff, maybe they'll give them 2 treats when I say only 1 a day).

Are we SURE there are actually a whole 24 hours in a day? It sure seems like there are less than that.
