we went and visited my parents on Sunday......it was fun and it gave us something to do. the kids had a blast running around grandma and papa farms' house. our sister Megan and her kids were up there, so they all had a blast together.
we came home from our parents house and ran into some snow on the way home. the kids all fell asleep on the way home, and then took forever to go back to sleep after we ate dinner. so tomorrow will be baths, and then getting Brandon ready for school. I need to find some place where I can get some advice or tricks on how to get Brandon to get his motivation back in order to get him motivated again to go potty on the potty. any suggestions? kate~ I thought you were taller then that? I thought you were 5'6"

that is how we all break down, I knew it was something like that.
I am going to try a suggestion that a friend of mine gave me, in regards to Brandon going on the potty. we are going to write a letter from Santa, and send it to him. In the letter we are going to more or less motivate him by telling him that there will be a special potty gift under the tree for him. And if for some reason he doesn't do it by then, then we will keep the present in his site so that he can see what his hard work will be working towards.

That is a cute idea!! You could also ask your doctor how he would recommend you motivate him. My niece was four before she stopped going in her pants. I didn't say accidents because she did it on purpose. She just wanted the attention that it got her for going in her pants. It sounds like you are doing everything right, he will eventually be potty broke so just hold on to that thought and don't give up.

thanks for stopping by Shan!
I don't think he does it for the soul purpose of the attention. I honestly don't know why he does it. But since he has this coming Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off of school for Thanksgiving. I told him that as soon as he gets off the bus on Tuesday, we are going to really buckle down and work on it. He knows that he will get a prize for going in the potty.....he keeps telling me dirt bike every time I mention it to him....so we have to keep really working with him on it. I will also ask their pediatrician what he might suggest. Oh yeah........I got to meet Alexis, his girlfriend, finally! I was putting him on the bus on Friday, and he wanted to sit next to her. His new bus driver said "oh you want to sit next to Alexis today." So, I climbed onto the bus and said "so this is your girlfriend Alexis, huh?" Brandon immediately covered his face and started being shy. Then I explained to his bus driver, Ms. Allison, how it all got started. She then said that she didn't know, and that it was really cute! Then I told Tommy when he got home from work that I finally got to meet Alexis. Tommy then asked Brandon if I embarrassed him......of course Brandon said that I did.

I am glad that he doesn't do it on purpose, it will make it so much easier to train. It might be that he gets busy playing, and don't realize that he has to go. Good luck!!
That is so adorable!! Mommy you aren't suppose to embarrass him, but I think he will get over it. ![]() |

I think that is exactly what he does....because no matter how many times I ask him if he has to go potty, he never does it in the potty. The last time he had a day off, I even let him and Logan bring their potty chairs out into the living room. that way, if they did have to go, they didn't have to try and run down the hallway to get there.
As for that day, Logan went behind the potty seat, and Brandon went next to it! so, at least they were in close proximity to it! Tommy told Brandon that it was better that I met Alexis, then if he had. Because he would have embarrassed him more then I did. But Brandon told Tommy that he couldn't do it, so that was funny.
