I have never been on any kind of exercise routine but I have been trying to walk more. I have gained more weight than what I should and as soon as this baby is born I'll be doing something to get this weight off.

I exercised during both of my pregnancies. With my first dd, I did cardio and weight lifting 3-4 times a week until I was around 34 weeks. With dd2, I just did cardio, 3-4 days a week until I was around 33/34 weeks. I stopped when I just felt like it was making me more tired and uncomfortable. I had sciatica with both pregnancies and toward the end, exercise made it worse. I know several women who exercised right up to their due date though - you just have to listen to your body.

if ok with your dr & you feel okay you can exercise up to the last minute. i just did with my 2nd & delvd a healthy 10lb baby boy.
i teach a cardio boot camp for new moms & was running, jumping, doing weights & pull ups etc all the way to the last minute. just listen to your body and slow down when it says to. good luck!
