It was so not a big deal at all. We had a few short squalls of wind and rain, but nothing to write home about.
 Today it's pretty wet out so far and expected to be a little windy/rainy all day, but nothing too bad.

phew - I'm glad that you guys didn't get hit too hard. Good thing you don't have to worry about going into labor in the middle of a hurricane! I just got an email from my sister that said, "a little wind, a little rain, no big deal".

Thanks, yeah, it was so no big deal. Schools were canceled today which was a bit annoying b/c we were supposed to have J's orientation since school starts tomorrow for him. Oh well! We just went out to pick up some food for lunch and the roads are busy. LOL! It's hardly even raining......just really wet and a bit windy every so often. We've had waaaaay worse thunder storms much of the summer. Anyway - on the preggo front - nothing new. No contractions today yet at all. I have an appt tomorrow so we'll see if there is any more progress, but I'm not banking on it.

YAY!!!!! How exciting! I never heard at any of my OB appointments that I was dilating. With Robbie, I went into my 38 week checkup and she didn't even check to see if I was dilated. I asked her about it and she said, ver batum: "Oh, honey, you're going to go at least two weeks past your due date. Just expect to be pregnant for another month." I walked out of the doctor's office crying, and I went into labor that night. With Andrew, my doctor wanted to go scuba diving the weekend that I was 39 weeks so she just induced me...I wasn't even close to dilating, not even a centimeter. So yeah...I have no clue what it's like to hear anything about being dilated or effaced...haha.
