Default Mucous Plug...
Just curious if anyone here noticed the loss of their mucous plug and when they went into labor after that. I lost mine around noon today. At yesterday's OB appointment, I was 80% effaced and 1.5 cm dilated so I'm kinda thinking I won't make it another week. But all the books tell you that everybody is different, so I just thought I'd poll you guys for what happened with all of you.

Oh wow, how exciting!! I think I lost mine around 38 weeks and was induced at 39 weeks - I was 2-3 cm dilated and almost fully effaced for the whole week.

My mucus plug came out Friday morning and Saturday night I went into labor. Abbie was born the next morning.

I lost mine in weird chunks that I thought would never end. It was an all week affair, I swear. I was 39 weeks pregnant, 3cm, 100% at the beginning of that week (Monday). I finally went into the hospital on Friday, wondering if I was in labor b/c I just had a feeling that I was, but I wasn't in pain. When I did go, I was 6cm and they kept me.

I never saw mine. I was induced at 39 weeks. I was 100% and three cm when they induced me.

I don't know if it was the whole mucus plug, but I had a bloody show overnight at some point (ew!). I went into labor at 7:30 pm that day.

I lost mine at about 37 weeks with DD - I was 3cm and 75% effaced. I went into labor at 39 1/2 weeks.

With DS, I didn't loose my mp ahead of time, even though I was progressed about the same with him.

She is! Actually she probably has given birth by now ...

so after she lost her plug she made it 2.5 days until this morning around 6:30am when she went into labor with her first "this is it" contractions.

I know she was 9cm at 11:45am and that was the last I heard. She got to the hospital at 5cm and not long after that maybe 90 minutes was 9cm.



Please everyone send her happy VBAC and BF'ing vibes!
