Home Sweet Home

It’s seventeen days later and I don’t know who I was kidding thinking that I could post daily from our road trip. There  was lots of good and lots of bad, but I know that when I look back and reflect on the past 2+ weeks, it will be fondly. I will have a lot of great memories to hold on to, a lot of lessons learned, and new experiences to remember. I have a ton of laundry and unpacking to do and...

On The Road Day 1

For those of you that may not know, my family and I are going on a road trip up and down the east coast of the USA. My husband and I have been talking about doing this forever and we finally have our ‘excuse’. My cousin is getting married in New York so we have a destination. Well, my grandma and my aunt and uncle live in Massachusetts (which is just a few hour drive) so we decided to visit them...

Going Out To Eat With Baby

Four years ago, my husband blogged about taking your baby to restaurants.  We used to take our kid everywhere we went. Now that we have two and our newest baby (who is really not that new anymore) has always had a really early bedtime, we just don’t do the same things that we once did. This summer, however, we are going on a road trip. We will be gone for about 2 weeks, in and out of many restaurants,...

Disney with 2 kids and 5 adults

We just got back from 4 nights in Disney World. We went to 3 parks: Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM), and Epcot.  This was about my thousandth time there, but the second time for Jax. He was a little young the first time we took him (19 months) so it was a totally different experience. This time, Jax loved it!!! After about 30 years of going to Disney, I finally got to see the “magic”...

Bugaboo Strollers

*This is a sponsored post As we all know, having kids means giving up some of the freedoms we previously had. We can’t just pick up and go anywhere at any time with only the clothes on our back. We have to plan around our children and worry about bringing their essentials and baby gear. This doesn’t mean, however, that we have to give up traveling, whether it be to the store, the park or a real vacation. Having...

First Daycation

So, my husband and I went on our first daycation this weekend. We’ve had a couple of nights alone when Jax slept at his grandparents’ house, but this was the first time we actually went out of town…….and the longest we’ve left him (like a whole 24 hours – woot!). It was sooooo nice and relaxing, even though we didn’t even do a single relaxing thing. Don’t we look...

Cool find of the day: baby strap

That’s my baby boy at 11 months old. That was in our hotel room in Tokyo, Japan, while we were enjoying breakfast. There was no high chair and no booster seat and although I could have easily put him on my lap, it was a lot easier (and fun for all of us!) for him to be in his own chair. Most of the restaurants we went to while there, did not have high chairs. The ones that did, did not have a waist strap....
