I just saw a commerical for Tide detergent with a prim and proper mom upset about her tomboy daughter. I hate the message it is sending to young girls. Basically what they are saying is that a girl can’t be herself if she isn’t what her mother expects her to be. Shouldn’t we be teaching our daughters to love themselves exactly as they are?
