Operation: CBG Day 4

logo

I felt way more energized today! I took a step plus ab workout class this morning that kicked my butt. It was an hour long and my shirt was soaked. I haven’t worked out that hard in ages and it felt great! Can’t wait to do it again. My whole body feels tight and sore, but it gives me encouragement that this is all working. I don’t SEE a difference yet, although after the step class, I was able to see a little bit of ab definition at the top of my stomach. Even my husband noticed it. Too bad it’s the lower abs that really need the shrinkage. I know, I know, that will come with time…

It’s getting harder to restrict myself with eating so healthily. I have decided that I am going to just give in and eat a few things that I shouldn’t here and there because I know if I don’t do it now, at some point I will totally cave and pig out on something horrible like McDonald’s. Then I will really feel like crap.

Today’s Meal Plan

Breakfast: oatmeal with blueberries and banana

Lunch: big chopped salad (made with baby spinach, green beans, black olives, turkey, 2% shredded cheddar cheese, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber and some oil and vinegar and mixed dried herbs using my salad chopper – this thing rocks!) and finished off with a “diet” hot cocoa (25 calorie)

Snack: melba rye toast and cheese (I use the laughing cow light wedges) and later some almonds and a piece of string cheese

Dinner: Grilled chicken with onions and  black beans and white rice from our favorite local Cuban restaurant. What a treat!!

Dessert: Dark chocolate fudgsicle (btw, did anyone else notice the introduction of the new Triple Chocolate box of fudgsicles? They now come in white and dark chocolate, in addition to the original milk chocolate flavor.)

Anyway, I never really knew what the point of writing down every little thing that goes in your mouth was, but apparently it gives you a good insight into how much you are actually eating and lets you look at the big picture to make sure you are getting enough of the foods you need. I realized right this minute that I really need to add more fruits and veggies to my diet.

And tomorrow…..back to the Wii Active 30 Day Challenge!
