Where oh where did my baby go? It has been almost a year since he first entered the world. I used to think that the days passed slowly even though the weeks and months flew by. Now even the days seem to be gone in an instant.
In the first few days, weeks and months of having a new baby, so much of it is guesswork. You are just learning about this new person that has suddenly joined your world. Now, eleven months later, our lives are completely intertwined and I know him so well. I can predict when he is tired, hungry, thirsty, not feeling well, bored, wanting me to read him a book, or play ball, or snuggle for a few extra minutes. I can see his personality quirks coming out. I note the similarities and differences between him and his brother, him and his dad, him and I. I love this little guy so much. What a happy (yet exhausting and trying) eleven months it has been!
I can’t believe how big he is. Won’t be long before he’s giving his brother a run for his money.
