And He’s Off

Today was a big day for us. Jett turned 1 almost two weeks ago and has been standing on his own, cruising, and crawling like the speed of light lately. We’ve been wondering when he’d muster up enough courage to take that first step. This morning, we went to a massive playdate and Jett got a kick out of the baby’s shopping cart. We have a few push toys, but they are so low to the ground that Jett uses his knees rather than his feet. I just knew that shopping cart would do the trick to get him moving since it is literally the perfect height. So, I went to Target and got this Shop and Learn Walker. He is in love with it. He was pushing it all over the house (on his feet) as fast as he could. After a while, he pushed it a little bit away from him and took a step towards it. Then he kept doing it…again and again. It was the cutest thing ever. He only took one step at a time today, but I’m giving him a few days and I’m sure he’ll take off!
