Have you ever really thought about all the gross and/or somewhat disturbing things that babies get away with while we absolutely cannot? We think they are funny because babies are so cute, but really……
- Drooling all over themselves and everything within reach
- Farting loudly
- Pooping (and peeing) their pants
- Tasting everything and only a fraction of it is actually food
- Throwing food
- Eating off the floor
- Eating straight from the table
- Using their hands as utensils
- Getting food all over their hands and face and everything in the close vicinity
- Burping without saying “excuse me”
- Walking like a drunk
- Throwing toys and making a big mess
- Fat thighs
- Belly rolls and double chins
- Cellulite
- Blowing raspberries in public
- Sticking out their tongue at people
- Smiling and waving at strangers
- Grabbing things that aren’t theirs
- Going shirtless (and pantless)
- Wearing one-piece clothing
- Screaming in public
- Babbling like a crazy person
- Grunting
- Having messy hair
- Going out without shoes on
- Sticking their fingers up their own nose and that of their mother (or father or sister or brother or aunt or uncle or friend or even stranger)
- Bathing with their siblings and friends
- Having a permanent open-mouthed grin without looking creepy
- Missing teeth
Wow, aren’t they lucky little creatures? I am sure there are more perks to being a baby and being able to do a lot of socially unacceptable things that us adults can’t do and if I happen to come across any today, I will add them. How about you? Can you add more to this list?
