Straight Ticket Voting

I know I don’t normally stray from writing about parenting related things, but I felt the need to share this. It’s extremely important.

If you know anyone in the following states, the following applies to them. These are the fifteen states that offer STV (straight ticket voting, also sometimes known as SPV, straight party voting):

1. Alabama

2. Indiana

3. Iowa

4. Kentucky

5. Michigan

6. New Mexico

7. North Carolina

8. Oklahoma

9. Pennsylvania

10. Rhode Island

11. South Carolina

12. Texas

13. Utah

14. West Virginia

15. Wisconsin

Regarding the voting process on Nov 4, 2008!

In the event that any of you are planning to vote democrat on November 4, I thought I’d share the following info I received today from a
registered voter. When we go into the voting booths, if we first select the button “all democrats”, Barack Obama will be excluded from the vote.
However, if we choose ‘Barack Obama’ first and then select all democrats’, he will earn our votes. It’s likely you will not be told this information when you go to vote.
