Potty Training Day 5

No accidents today!!

However, not to boast too much, when Jax fell asleep at nap time, I did put a pull-up on him and he definitely needed it. He did not wake up dry.

We were out and about all day and must have used public toilets like 5 or 6 times.  It was quite interesting to say the least. By the end of the day, I just held Jax up and let him try to aim in the toilet. I was so tired of taking off his shorts and underwear, lining the toilet seat, positioning him, freaking out about him touching things and then scrubbing his hands like he was going into surgery. I have to say, for those times when you aren’t home, it’s definitely easier when your child is in diapers!!

There’s no going back now though, and of course I don’t want too.  It’s so cute how excited my boy is about his underwear. I think he’ll be in diapers at bed time (and probably nap time) for a while and that’s fine. I’m not really ready for him to be that grown up just yet!

  1. That's so great! Sleep and nap times definitely take longer to master. Ds still has the occasional nighttime accident. We just put an extra towel underneath the bedsheet (on top of the mattress pad) to help with that. Usually I only have to take off the fitted sheet and the towel; it rarely soaks through even to the mattress pad.

Lol at the public toilets! It's so hard to keep kids from touching everything! I still just hold ds over public toilets. It's much easier, imo.
  2. That is so good!! I am glad he is getting the hang of potty training! I hate public toliets
  3. I read all your posts, and J is doing awesome! I don't know what it is, but it seems like they're just ready when they're ready. I hope it keeps going well for you! N loved her underwear, too, and did not like getting them wet.
