It’s A …………

Today I had my big level II ultrasound. My husband and son came with me and it was very exciting. The baby looks great and everything seems to be going perfectly. On the way there, my son was saying he wanted a baby brother and I said, “well, that is what we are going to find out today”. We tried pointing out the baby on the ultrasound to him, but he didn’t “see” a baby. I don’t think he really understands. He is still so young and the whole concept of pregnancy and bringing home a baby is obviously totally foreign to him.

The tech asked us if we wanted to find out the sex and of course we said yes. At that point, I really did not care at all what it was going to be. I was just excited to see my baby and know that it was healthy.

As many of you know, I had taken a Gender Prediction Test earlier in my pregnancy. They say that the results are over 90% accuracy. I didn’t take much stock in it. So, I’m sure you all want to know if it was right or not. Well……..they were NOT!!

I am going to be the mommy of another beautiful baby BOY!!!!!

  1. well that will be very exciting for Jax!! Get your boy name lists out again
  2. I wanted to add that I am perfectly happy. A few people have asked me if I'm disappointed and honestly I am not. I am the type of person that will only look at the positives of a situation that I can't change....and so, I have already been doing that. I was not even disappointed when I saw the penis on the screen. I am really excited. I bet I wouldn't even be as good of a "girl mom". So, that is that. It's just going to be hard to come up with a name. LOL!
  3. YAY! Boys are so much fun as you know. I'm glad that everything looks good!
  4. Yay!!! Congrats, C! Jax is getting his little brother (so cute that he said he wanted one).

I guess you're going to have to tap into the boy name interest again.
  5. P.S. My edd is now August 30. I was measuring like 3 days ahead, which is what I thought anyway due to my cycle. The baby already weighs a pound....and I have only gained 3 so far. I am carrying exactly the same as I did with Jax. This one is also a wild little bugger. He is so active in the womb, exactly as Jax was too. LOL! I am in for trouble.
  6. CONGRATS C, Jes, and J!!! I would LOVE a girl, but honestly---I'm so happy I had 2 boys. They are so different, it makes it interesting Plus they are a lot CHEAPER to raise and most ppl say boys are easier to raise as well
I'm so happy everything looks good and J will be a big brother to a baby boy!!
  7. Congratulations C, J, and Jax!!!!!

boys are great!!! You sound just like I was when we found out that Logan was a boy. I was the same way, I was feeling the same way as you are. I took it as us getting what we got and not regretting any of it.

Are you guys going to stop at just two? I can't remember how many you said that you guys wanted.

We'll see. I have kind of always wanted 3 and my DH is totally up for it too, but I think we'll play it by ear, see how we do with 2 and go from there. Nothing is set in stone.

    BTW, thanks everyone!!!
  9. Congrats! They are going to be so cute together! I can picture Jax teaching him the ropes!
  10. OMG, yay!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so in love w/ my boy, and I would be exactly like you, I would feel totally content to have more. I have a feeling I'm in for SEVERAL boys, really. I have always thought I'd have boys. I do plan to have at least 3 kids, so I hope maybe one is a girl, but I totally see more boys in our future. We'll see, I guess. Anyway, the point is, I can see myself in your shoes, feeling the same way. My sister in law has 2 boys, and they are so different, like K mentioned. It is really interesting to see how that works out. (BTW, when they were born, they looked like TWINS in the hospital pic, but as they've grown, one is blonde, one has brown hair, and they are night and day in personalities. So funny to watch these things play out!) I am so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray that everything looks good, and that the baby was nice enough to let you take a look at him. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Welcome to the boys club Csara!!!!
  12. Congratulations! Now you can start shopping! (Unless you are just re-using J's old things, but it is fun to get new). Two of my SIL's had 2 boys first, about how far apart Jax and yours are and they absolutely love it. You are going to have so much fun with those little guys!
  13. Congratulations. Isn't it funny how we go in with 'hopes' for the gender, but leave excited that we get a healthy baby regardless of gender??
  14. Big congratulations to you, J and Jax!! Its amazing to me how everyone I know is having 2 of the same gender lately lol!
  15. I was glad to have the same sex. My sister is pregnant with her third and already has 2 girls and is actually hoping for another girl.
  16. EEEEEEEE, congrats, C! Another sweet, adorable, funny little boy!
  17. So exciting! We were the same way... excited regardless. It's nice having the same gender because there is less preparation - Lord knows I have enough 0-3 month girl clothes for an army! But I'd have been super excited about having the other gender too. So it's nice to "win" either way! So cute that Jax was wanting a boy and got just that. I think the best part is just finding out - makes it easier to picture your future!
  18. Congrats on your healthy BOY, C! I am super happy for you. It is going to be so much fun to watch your boys grow together, and see the similarities and differences.
    YAY!!!!
  19. congrats! That is so cute Jax wants a brother!
  20. CONGRATS!!!! I am so excited for you and your family! While it would be cool to have a baby of either sex I think it is so neat when you can give your child a sibling of the same sex. I don't have a brother so I can't speak from experience, but it seems as though brothers or sisters are just so close. It is just great that Jax will have a little brother to look after and play with now.
  21. Yay!! Congrats!! I bet he will be as cute as J is!!
  22. Congrats C!!!!! Glad to hear the u/s showed a healthy baby boy. I bet Jax will love being a big brother.
  23. Thanks everyone!! I know I have a very FUN future ahead of me.
  24. CONGRATS!!!

If I ever hav another.. as much as I would want a girl.. another boy would be awesome.. shared clothes and toys... :-D among so many other things
  25. Congratulations, C and J!!! How exciting. I can't believe I missed the news when it was new(er). Anyway, that is cute that Jax asked for a brother. So nice of you to grant his wish. LOL I can't wait to hear what his name will be.
