Introducing…

C and I had our new son last night. She posted about it here. If you haven’t hugged a mom lately you should, they are amazing people. The birthing process is so incredible as most of you know.

  7. He is absolutely precious! Congrats to you all! Thanks for sharing!!!
  8. He is so adorable and that hair is awesome!! I'm glad to hear all is well and hope Jax can meet his new baby brother soon.
  9. Congratulations C and J!!!! He is such a cutie pie!

    How is Jax handling Jett?
  10. Perhaps that hair is the reasoning behind all of that heartburn, C?! Isn't that what they say??? He's got some hair, ya'll! It's JETT BLACK, too.
    Hahaha, corny.

What a cutie pie. Thanks for posting pictures. I'm so happy to see the little guy!!! Adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. He is gorgeous! Such a sweet, tiny man! Congrats C, Jes, and Jax. Yall have the perfect addition to your wonderful family.
  12. He looks so different from Jax to me! Both gorgeous little guys!
  13. I was going to say that about him seeming so different than Jax, but then again, I don't remember Jax's baby pics! We should see some comparison pics when you get a chance!!!
  14. Thanks so much for all the great comments guys!

I'm attaching a comparison pic for you!!

To me, they look so different. They have very similar mouths and chins, but otherwise, they are very different....especially their noses. Jett's is so much bigger. LOL!

So, what do you think? Do you see the similarities/differences?
  15. What a little cutie! Thanks for sharing and Congratulations to you guy!!!
  16. I see similarities, but Jett definitely looks more like J, and Jax looks a lot like you, C. I'm sure Jett will look more like Jax once he gains a bit more weight. Jax had the adorable chubby cheeks that screamed "kiss me", and Jett has the perfect little nose for eskimo kisses .

How are you feeling, C? I can't wait to hear how Jax and Jett are doing! Ugh... I feel like a stalker .
  17. lol Keely - it's ok. I'm just going to be chilling out here for a while. Jett's billirubin came in 1 number too high so now he's got the little machine/blanket that I have to take home with us and keep him in it under the lights all night. We would have been discharged already, but they gave me a 4-6 hr window to wait for the company to bring one to me. Argh!! So annoying....but I'm just taking advantage of the quiet time and chillin' in my hospital bed. Thank goodness for wireless internet connection!!!
  18. He's adorable! Love all that hair.

Hope you guys get home soon. G's bili was high too and we had to wait around for a home phototherapy bed. It was kind of nice to have the quiet time alone though.
  19. I think they are totally different. I figured since Jax looks like a mini C, Jett would look just like Jason...and he does.
You have beautiful boys C I would love to hold that little guy and brush all that gorgeous black hair!
  20. Well, at least you got a little more quiet time. Sad that Jett will have to have another bili test, but at least his levels aren't too high. I'm really hoping it is as calm and easy for you as can be (with a 3-year-old and newborn).
  21. He is tooooo sweet!!! They do look a lot different-- Jax is more round in the face for sure. Jett almost looks older than a newborn or something, doesn't he? That's crazy b/c he was even earlier than Jax was, right? But it's just that he has stronger features than a newborn or something that makes him look slightly older... I think?? Does that make sense? He looks sooooo content and sweet; I wish I could hold that little guy!!! Talk about giving a girl baby fever....

My friends had to take hom that bili blanket a couple months ago w/ their baby, and it took care of the levels within no time. I'm sure Jett's will be fine too. How nice that they can treat that at home these days.

I hope you get some rest tonight!! Let us know how it's going!!!!

OMG!! I knew that my hospital stay must have been the calm before the storm. I am not kidding when I say that Jett was up like every 1/2 hour last night. I cannot believe it. All he did was sleep at the hospital and when we got home yesterday and so far this morning. Go figure! But when normal people are sleeping and mommy needs to get her rest, he has to wake up constantly. Wow, am I tired! Well, Dad just dropped Jax off at school and Jett is now sleeping so I better take advantage. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
  23. Oh no! Maybe it's the difference in the light/dark and noise levels at home vs. the hospital? I'm sure he'll balance back out some soon. How's the non-cosleeping thing going this time?
  24. I am sure once he gets use to his new surroundings he will be sleeping for you again. Get some rest.

Megan~I was thinking that he looked older than a new born, if you just look at his face. Very strong facial features.
  25. Thank you so much everyone!!!

Well if either of us actually slept, I'd be able to answer this better. Seriously, last night was rough. I must have gotten up 12 times - if only just to adjust his swaddle or the stupid blue light. I hate that thing and really hope they tell me his numbers are normal today and we can get rid of it!! It is hard keeping him in his crib all the time. I am so not used to this......but hopefully it's very short lived. It feels very odd keeping my baby in his crib all the time. I'd like to just bring him down stairs to hang out on the couch or whatever. I also can't wait to wear him in a sling...etc. It's not the ideal situation but obviously it could be worse. At least he's home with us.
  26. It is so funny to see "Big J is 3 years old" and "baby J is 3 DAYS old" on your tickers. 3 days old!!! Ahhh. Single digits. What a rare, sweet time.

I'm sorry he got up so many times. I remember the first night home from the hospital, and I wondered if it was going to be like that for months. C woke us up like 40 times, and were like, "Ok, this is ROUGH." We were dead tired. It obviously got better, but the first night, ugh!!! I hope it gets better soon -- maybe the bili blanket/light thingy is something different/unusual and causing the waking?? Just a hopeful thought, since it will probably be gone soon... ?? GL!
  27. Awww! Look at all that hair! You weren't kidding...he has TONS! What a cutie!

I'm sorry he kept you awake all night when you got home. That seems to be the way it always works. I remember talking about that with the nurses when N was born. B said something about how she slept all the time and that this would be easy; they warned us that right about the time you get home with them is when they start to perk up. Nice little trick of nature. LOL

What does Jax think of him?
  28. Well thankfully that first night was a fluke so far. The past two nights he has slept like a dream. I have to wake him to eat! I am hoping with all of my being that it stays this way. I can't even imagine what having a good sleeper would be like....I will be in HEAVEN!!!

Margs, Jax loves him and is so sweet and gentle. The first couple of days were a bit hard. He was acting out a lot and just seemed really sad/angry. The past couple of days have been much, much better. We are slowly adjusting and hopefully in a few more weeks we will have found our new normal.
  29. Aww, sweet little Jaxie. What a big adjustment for such a little guy!

I'm glad Jett is sleeping well! Are you all still calling him Ritty, or is he Jett to you yet? His name really does suit him - it's wild!
  30. He's definitely Jett! Jax sometimes calls him Rit or Ritty Jett or Jetty. It's so cute!
  31. I'm glad to hear that Jax is adjusting well. It's to be expected that he have some rough spots in the beginning. How cute that he has his own nicknames for his baby brother!
  32. Ritty Jett! SO adorable!
  33. Love the nn's Jax has for Jett. Too cute! Jaxie and Jetty... cute!
  34. How cute is that?? Jax and Jett are both adorable!! I love Jax's nn's for Jett!! Too cute!
