Gender Prediction Tests

I recently received the Intelligender Gender Prediction Test in the mail. It is a simple urine test that apparently detects with 90% accuracy the gender of your baby as early as 10 weeks pregnant. I took the first test probably a few days shy of 10 weeks and the results were a bit ambiguous. I could not tell if my urine matched the boy or the girl side. I spoke with the moms of Intelligender and they were nice enough to send me another test. I took it this weekend (I am now 14 weeks pregnant). You have to use first morning urine, do not shake or disturb the test while it’s processing and check after 10 minutes. Well it was clear as day that according to Intelligender I am having a GIRL!

Just for fun, I have done some other gender prediction tests and as you will see, my results are all the same!

Madame Zaritska’s reading: The day you deliver, outside will be warm. Your baby will arrive at night. After a labor lasting approximately 9 hours, your child, a girl, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 9 ounces, and will be 20-1/2 inches long. This child will have light brown eyes and dark hair.

Chinese Gender Chart: whether I use my actual birthday or lunar age, it always says Girl

It seems to be the year of girls. I know a lot of pregnant women due this year and pretty much every single one of them is having a girl. That kind of makes me think that I’ll be the one having a boy because you know someone has to. We will see. I will update again after my ultrasound in about 6 weeks!

  1. Congrats. I know you were hoping for a girl this time. Keep your finger crossed.
  2. Yeah, let us know if this gender prediction test turns out to be right!
  3. How fun!!! I can't wait to see if this is true!!! Was this test expensive? I want to get one for my best friend! (and maybe me next time!!)
  4. wow, that is really exciting! I saw that test at the grocery store the other day and thought it was cool that there was an OTC test for this now!
I really, really hope the test is true for you!!!
  5. At the grocery store!? Really!? I haven't seen them at all.. unless maybe something like it online.... I'm intrigued!! haha.
  6. yep, at the grocery store! I was analyzing all of the diaper rash cream (one of my current obsessions...) and I saw the test. It wasn't cheap, but I thought man, if I was pregnant....
  7. Cool. Yeah, sometimes things like that are worth a little extra $$. So fun. I'd do it!!
  8. Well, I got them both for free but they are usually about $30-$40 so not too bad.
  9. that is great C! I hope that all those tests are correct, and you are having a girl!

I can't wait until you find out in a month and a half!
  10. If the u/s confirmst it, I'll definitely test it out the next time around . Either way, it would be a lot of fun. DH would probably need some "proof" to justify it though .
  11. Interesting. I've never seen or heard of these. I wonder how accurate they are and how they work?
  12. From the sound of the pee test, it sounds almost like the old wives tale of the drano gender test. I didn't use the drano gender test myself, but a friend of mine did it and got a conflicting answer between boy and girl and she couldn't figure out why. Come to find out......she was pregnant with boy/girl twins! no wonder why the drano test went wacky on her!
  13. That is cool! I got my fingers crossed that it is a girl!

    The what?!?
  15. OMG, you are making me want to go out and buy one. But it's almost pointless for me now since my ultrasound is in two weeks. That would be super cool if you had one of each, C. I can't wait to hear if your prediction test was accurate.
  16. Oh wow Honey, only 2 weeks!! Lucky you.

    What Your Urine Says

This next test to determine a baby's sex may not be for everyone, although it is very simple. Just take a sample of your urine and mix it with Drano. Depending on the color change of your urine, you will have a boy or a girl. Unfortunately, there is no consensus on what color equals which sex. So, if you do decided to try this and your urine turns bluish yellow, brownish, brown, black or blue you will be having a boy. If your urine looks more greenish brown, green, blue or doesn't change at all, then you're having a girl. But be warned: if you decide to do this test, there could be some pretty harsh fumes produced - not to mention the possibility of an explosion!.

(I was really curious about the old wives tales when I was pregnant with Brandon, so I read up on them. a lot of them proved to be true for me......but I didn't try the drano one)

Well sheesh! Gee, why didn't you try it...? An explosion is the worst that can happen? No biggie!

    LOL!!!
  19. LOL.....that did it for me!
  20. Hey C how far along did you have to be? My sister is about 7-8 weeks along now. They will find out but I am curious about this. Good luck with a girl....but 2 boys are pretty fun

You have to be at least 10 weeks pregnant for this particular test! Oh and I am sure 2 boys is great. I will definitely be happy either way, but I have to admit having one of each has always been my dream.
  22. I KNEW you were going to have a girl!!! My guess is she'll have lighter skin than Jax and look more like Jes w/ your nose.
Either way boy or girl. I hope you have a very healthy bundle of joy. 2 boys are fun, but it would be nice to talk about something other than nascar, sports, and cars around here. Barbies would be a nice change for once
  23. It'll be interesting to see if the test was correct!
