Countdown till Baby

I have 6 weeks until my due date, but I doubt I’ll be waiting that long to meet my newest little man. I’m guessing more like 4 to 5 weeks until he makes his big debut. I am very excited, but starting to get anxious thinking about all the things I have to do and prepare before his arrival.

Instead of going on and on about it all right now, I’ll take my time each day to write about something I want, need, or need to do. Today is my frivolous day………I am thinking about how much I really, really, really want to get this new Zen swing by Fisher-Price. It is so good looking and looks so comfy for baby. We have the Papasan cradle swing by Fisher-Price from Jax and I can’t rave about it enough.

However, I’m afraid it’s been used and abused so much already. Not only did we stretch it to the limit, but I lent it to my neighbor to use for her baby. It’s probably so creaky and unstable. I would actually get the same swing again, but that Zen one is just so cool looking and well, I want something different. We are re-using pretty much everything, so it would be nice to get a few new things that are specifically for this child.

Have any of you ever seen this swing? Any reviews?

  1. I say buy it. I totally understand what you are saying about re-using every other thing; I 've thought about that with number 2, too. We have everything we could possibly need, and it's pretty much all unisex (with the exception of clothes, but we're SO set if we have a boy again!!) I think my big purchase for number 2 will be a cool glider that I can put in his/her room. C's was a hand me down and isn't in great shape, so I've told myself I deserve at least one new item when the time comes.

That Zen swing looks incredible, btw. So cool looking, and about the world's most comfortable looking thing for a baby!!!!!!!!!
  2. I would totally get a new swing. Before Ella was born, I bought a second bouncy-chair (the papasan thing) so that I could have one upstairs and one downstairs. I WISH I would have bought a 2nd swing.

ooooh, you are in the exciting stretch now!!!
  3. I would get it. I saw one in a childs consignment shop and it looked very comfy...too bad they don't make them adult size...lol
  4. C, buy it! The detachable seat makes it completely worth it IMO.
  5. Yeah, go ahead and buy it

My family actually got one from a friend that no longer needs it anymore. It's really cool, if I were a baby, I would doze off peacefully in it ;p
