To be a Fly on the Wall…and A Thousand Bucks Lying Around…

So another school year is back in full swing. This is the first year I get to experience having my children in preschool, and only because I’m teaching at the preschool myself. I teach K-4, Robbie is in K-3 and Andrew is in the 2’s. So I always hear parents say things like, “Oh, to be a fly on the wall of my child’s classroom. Let me tell you, I actually get to experience this, and the things I catch...

I Don’t Like Motatos, I Like Squid and Lobster

Funny how we were talking about what picky eaters some of our kids are in the Toddler Meals thread yesterday. My husband and I were looking through pictures and videos tonight and found a classic one of our oldest son talking about the foods he likes and dislikes. Gotta love it!

Dream Baby

I know he is only a little over three weeks old, but my new baby boy, Jett, is a dream child. I am so in love with him and feel so lucky to have such a sweet, calm, and content baby. He sleeps a lot and when he’s awake, as long as he’s fed, burped, and dry, he is perfectly content. I can put him down and he’ll just look around without fussing. At night, he’ll look around his crib for...

Sometimes It Just Doesn’t Work Out

I’ve been having issues from the get-go with breast feeding my new baby. I took him for his 2 week check up on Monday (which was really 16 days past birth) and sadly he had lost weight since we were last there, 9 days before, to...

Video Monitor Rave

I’ve been saying I wanted a video monitor for this baby since before I was pregnant. I wish I would have had one for Jax. We recently got the Summer Infant LCD Video Monitor and I love it!!! I don’t know if it’s just having a video monitor or this particular one, but I’m very happy. The screen is huge and very clear. The reception is great unless you have it positioned next to your cordless...

Brothers

No doubt brothers share a special bond. I hope for my boys that as they grow, a deep friendship, love and respect for each other will grow as well.  I hope they will always be there for each other and look out for each other and enjoy each other’s company. Friends are great, but when your family can also be your friends, it’s even better……

My Birth Story

It’s been two weeks since my baby was born, I figured it was time I posted my birth story. On Wednesday, August 20, I went in for my 38 week appointment and was a good 3, almost 4 centimeters dilated. Thursday night I started getting contractions. They ranged in frequency anywhere from 5-20 minutes apart, but never stayed regular. The next day, they continued all day long. My family and friends were pressuring...
