You know you are a mom when………

I am attempting some humor about motherhood in hopes that most of you can relate. They don’t all apply, all the time, but there’s definitely some truth here. Hope you enjoy….and please feel free to add your own!!!

You know you are a mom when………

1. You know the theme song to at least three kid shows by heart.

2. Not only do you know the theme songs, but you know all the characters’ names. (and if you don’t know the exact time each show is on, your TiVo tapes them anyway)

3. You go to Target for all your shopping needs.

4. You carry a gazillion baby wipes everywhere you go, but you forget your sunglasses most of the time.

5. Your car CD player has at least one CD of songs that would drive most adults insane, but you happily sing along to every song.

6. On the rare occasion you are in your car by yourself, you keep checking your rear view mirror and are surprised when the car seat is empty.

7. You never leave home without snacks.

8. Your hand has been converted into a trash receptacle for chewed up food, wrappers, snotty tissues, and vomit.

9. You don’t think twice about picking your kid’s nose.

10. You absentmindedly cut your husband’s chicken into little pieces at the dinner table.

11. Your favorite fantasy includes locking yourself in your bathroom alone.

12. A trip to the grocery store….alone….sounds pleasurable.

13. It’s 4 p.m. and you are still in your pajamas, unshowered.

14. You truly think ultrasound pictures are cute.

15. You actually think it’s fun to be on the floor, exploring the house for imaginary creatures.
