Toddler Translator
My son is now almost 20 months and has been talking up a storm. The problem is that I don’t think anyone can understand a thing he says, other than my husband and myself of course. I am going to attempt to translate his language in hopes that it might help someone else understand him or maybe their own toddler.
- Appah = Apple
- Azzah = What’s that?
- A Bouw = Belly button
- Baaah = what sheep say
- Bah = Box
- Bee = Bee, Bug
- Beep Beep = Bus
- Beer = Bear
- Boo = Book
- Bob = Bob the builder
- Buh = Butterfly
- Bull = Bulldozer
- Burr = Bird
- Bwee Bwee = (said when crying ???)
- Bwoo = Blue
- Bye Bye = Bye
- Cah = Car
- Choo Choo = train, Thomas the Tank Engine
- Coo = Cookie
- Da = Dada
- Dada = Dada
- Dar = Star
- Dat = Cat
- Dog = Dog
- Door = Door, Dora the Explorer
- Duh = Duck
- El Moooah = Elmo
- Gee = Fish
- Hoo Hoo = what owl’s say
- Izzoot = What’s that?
- Jah = Jax
- Juh = Juice
- Lellow = Yellow
- Ma, Mama, Moooah, Mum = Mommy
- May = Mater (from the movie, Cars)
- Moo = Moon, what cows say
- More = I’m still hungry
- Mouw = Mouse
- Nana = hungry?? more? (not quite sure about this one)
- No = No
- Pee = Please
- Truck = Truck
- Turrel = Turtle
- WaWa = Water
- Wow = Flower
- Yessss = Yes
