The most expensive pregnancy test ever!!!
Here’s a quick intro on my situation and why a pregnancy test was performed on me. Notice I did not say “I took a pregnancy test”.

So, I had a suspicious lump in my left breast and had to have an ultrasound, a mammogram (omg, those are awful!!!) and what is called an excisional biopsy, which in a nutshell is slicing your boob open, cutting out the lump and sewing it back up. This procedure takes place in an operating room and is referred to as a real surgery. I had the choice to take some drugs, but I declined. Guess I was listening when they told me to JUST SAY NO!
The good news is that the lump was benign.
The bad news…..the medical bills, which I received in the mail today. There was an itemized bill from the hospital and never mind the outrageous OR bills, which I suppose are to be expected. There was a charge for a pregnancy test that I did not even know about. Imagine that. They must have asked me the same questions like 50 times and “are you pregnant?” was always one of them. I guess my verbal answer wasn’t good enough, they needed proof.
Would you like to know how much this unapproved pregnancy test cost? It was $389. Yes. Three-hundred eighty-nine dollars. And here I thought First Response Early Result Pregnancy Tests were expensive. Silly me.
