The best thing about mommyhood!
I have always wanted to be a mother! I grew up thinking my mom was the most amazing person in the world and I still do feel so loving, grateful, and appreciative of her. I admire and value her so much. We have always had a very close relationship and my family has always been very close. I’m sure that contributed to my huge desire to someday become a mother. Now that I am, it has exceeded every single one of my expectations.
I really love being a mommy! It has made me feel complete and I fill such a big purpose and responsibility now. I asked some of my friends what the best thing about motherhood was to them. This is how they answered:
Wow, SINGLE best thing? I don’t know how I can name just one thing, but I guess I would have to say that it is knowing that there is someone so special in my life that no matter how good or bad my day is, I have that sweet smile to look at at the end of each day to make it all go away.
The feeling I get each and every time I look at my son. I can’t believe he is ours. Watching him grow and learn from us is incredible. He is like a sponge — absorbing all this knowledge and skill. He amazes me each and every day. Becoming a mother is the signle best thing I have ever done. It has made me a better person, for sure. The best thing about being Jakes Mom is knowing that when he is upset
all I have to do is give him a hug and he calms down. I don’t think I
have ever had that kind of impact on another person!
The best part is watching them grown and change into all of the things you have been hoping for and working towards. That smile and excitement that my son gives me when I pick him up from school ! It melts my heart
Spending time with her and watching all of the most amazing things happen when she is discovering the world!
The best thing about being a mom is when my son sees me from across the room and runs to me with a big smile. I love seeing him change every day.
I think it really makes you appreciate your parents. The best thing about being a mom is seeing your little one wake up each morning with the biggest smile on his face to see you just because for no other reason then you are his mommy.
Dancing to my favorite songs with him in my arms.
Those are all beautiful answers and I honestly can relate to all of them. I feel so lucky to have my little boy in my life. He has brought me so much love, it is indescribable. I know that only a mother can understand that kind of love. So, fellow mommies, tell me, what is the best thing about mommyhood to you? Those of you who are not yet mommies, but will be or hope to be soon, tell me what you are looking forward to most!
