So far so good!

So far so good on my New Year’s Resolutions! It’s only been a couple of weeks and I can proudly say that I’m down 5 to 15. :D I went to the gym this morning and took my son to the Kid’s Club. He was there for 40 minutes before they called me over the loud speaker. Hey, it’s a lot better than the 10 minutes he was able to handle last time I took him. At least I got a work-out in today. I did 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer and got in a few sets on the weight machines.

From my previous post, you can see that I have been drinking more water. I’ll admit the first day was the only day I’ve used my 64 oz water bottle but that is only because it’s a real pain in the a$$ to fill up. It doesn’t fit under the dispenser on my fridge door so I have to fill a cup, dump it in the jug and repeat like 6 times. Hmm, maybe I should consider that part of my arm work-out routine.

I also started to take my vitamins…….pre-natal vitamins to be exact. I can feel good knowing that I am starting to prepare my body for my second bundle of joy whenever that is.

Next on my list was to post more on the forums at Baby Talkers (BT) and Home Talkers (HT)……and I have been doing so. It is really nice to see the action pick up at BT’s sister site, HT.

Also on my agenda this year was to start cooking more, and again, I have been doing so. I’ve found that if I plan ahead and start prepping for dinner earlier in the day, it makes things much easier and thus much more enjoyable. I am extremely pleased to see my husband happy after a good home-cooked meal. He deserves it, as does my son!

I know I have a long way to go before reaching all of my goals, but I think I am off to a good start and I’m proud of myself. That in itself is an accomplishment.
