Let’s face it. Fat babies are cute. Very very cute. But, when we speak of cute fat babies, we are talking about some chunky rolls here and some chunky rolls there, not an entire bakery!!! Brazilian baby, Mateus Araujo weighs over 55 lbs at one year old.
He’s been breastfed since birth and has been tested for any abnormalities, but doctors are not able to identify any problems and are baffled by his obesity.
Mateus’ mom noticed he was gaining too much weight when he weighed in at about 22 lbs at three months old. My son weighed about 20 lbs at 6 months and I thought that was gigantic. Fortunately his weight gain slowed down and he didn’t gain much for almost a year.
Poor mama Araujo. Her back must be killing her. Can you imagine carrying that guy around???
If the toddler continues to balloon at the same rate he will weigh almost 900 lbs by the time he is 16. Damn!!!!
Ok and now just for fun – although it’s really so not – have you ever done a search for the ‘World’s Fattest Baby‘? Tomasso Cipriani bounced into the world at 8:02 p.m. on February 9, 2003 weighing an unbelievable 28 pounds, 4 ounces. At barely six months old, he tipped the scale at a whopping 130 pounds!
-now if that’s not the freakiest thing you’ve ever heard…….
