Halloween costumes for babies

cow babyI’m a total sucker for a baby in an animal costume. I mean, how cute is that?!? Well, Halloween is coming up and Costume SuperCenter has some adorable infant and toddler Halloween costumes. Yes, including animal costumes of course. However, they have all the other classics and super hero costumes, as well as some brand new 2007 editions.

You can get 10% off any costume $30 or more, plus free economy shipping on orders $60 or more until September 10.

What are you planning to dress your little one up in this year? What have you done in past years?

Last year we were in Thailand during Halloween so my son didn’t dress up, but the previous year which was his very first Halloween, he was Super Baby!! It was so cute and quite fitting. ;)

Comments:

  1. Last year was A's first halloween and he was a ghost, with a little hat and socks that said BOO on them too

This year he may borrow my nephews old costume and be the blue care bear... or I may find one of those super adorable animal costumes. DH probably wants him to be spiderman (sigh)

This year should be a ton of fun... my SIL is due 10-23, and my nephews (both will be 5 then, they are 11 months apart) totally dote on my son... so they will have fun going door to door in my mom's neighborhood (well lit, sidewalks throughout.. we always all go there) Last year Andy was in the stroller and my nephews insisted on carrying a pumpkin basket for him too... too cute!
  2. That's funny - I was just thinking this morning that it'd be cute if J was Spiderman........but there is no way he'd keep a mask on his face.

I have to think of something else. He wants to be a car or a helicopter.
  3. B is going to be a sneech (as in Dr. Seuss). I just finished his costume yesterday. I know he'll never leave the feathers alone, but that's alright with me.
  4. Oh how cute!!! I love homemade costumes.
  5. adorable sneech costume!!!

I bet B poops feathers the next day
  6. so cute!!!

DS is going to be a fat pumpkin, and I won his costume off of ebay last week ;D
  7. so cute!!

i love animal costumes too.. i have a few saved on my desktop of what i want max to be this year... and that cow you posted is one of them.. LOVE IT!
  8. I always lust after the pea in a pod costumes for tiny babies, but C is too big for those. They are so cute.

I don't know what he'll be yet. I've been keeping my eye out. I love the star bellied sneech costume! I love Dr. Suess. I am about zero% talented when it comes to sewing, so we'll be purchasing a costume...but that is so cute.

Since C is crawling (kind of), I think this snail costume would be really stinking cute:

And...I don't think I would seriously buy this, but this baby rapper costume kind of cracked me up:

  9. I just realized that C's snail would look paralyzed b/c his crawling is more like him dragging his body across the floor. That might not be cute. Or maybe it would look better than crawling since he goes in "inch-worm" type motions. I don't know. Either way, I don't know why I care since he obviously won't be crawling on the street when we go trick or treating.
  10. LMAO Megan!! You are too funny. BTW, love both of those costumes. The rapper is a riot!
  11. Cale is an army crawler too, eh? That's what B does. That snail is such a cute idea.
  12. I love looking at all the cute kids costumes!

Brandon's first Halloween he was a duck that my sister made. For his second Halloween, when we lived up north, we didn't end up going out so we didn't dress him up. Last year, he was a Tow Mater Mechanic (from the movie Cars) and if the costume fits him still, and he doesn't change his mind, he will more then likely be it again this year!

Logan's first Halloween, he was three days old, and like I mentioned, we didn't take them out, so we didn't dress either one up. Last year, Logan was the duck! This year, I have a dinosaur costume somewhere, and if I can find it, then he will be it. If not, then I am sure that we will find something at Wal-Mart that he will like! (He is really into Cars, so it wouldn't surprise me any if we ended up with another Cars character or something)

Marissa, well, since this is going to be her first Halloween, AND if the costume fits, then she will be the duck! My sister Beth made the costume for Brandon when he was a baby, so I am kind of making it a little tradition for them to wear it for their first Halloween!
  13. that rapper costume is a riot!

I am going to find a picture of Brandon and Logan in the duck costume! I know I have some of Brandon, I hope I saved the ones of Logan!
  14. crap! I can't find any of Logan in the costume. But I do have a couple of Brandon.

  15. I love the snail!!!

    kids costumes are cute period
  16. Love the Sneeches costume!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what our kids will be. I really haven't thought much about it.
  17. What a cute little duck! Babies are just so cute!
  18. My mom is making costumes again this year. Naomi wanted to be a pumpkin and had her first fitting yesterday. Asher is going to be an elf, which was my aunt's idea. N was Rudolph her first Halloween, and I used those pictures to make Christmas cards. So we're doing that for A's first Halloween, too. I'm also going to buy N a pretty red outfit so she can be in the picture. If she wears the hat, she'll be Mrs. Claus.

Last year, N was an octopus but refused to wear the costume while at the trick-or-treat street. We'll see if she wears it this year.
  19. Oh yeah Margs, I totally remember the octopus costume!!! Wow - has it already been a year?!?!?!
  20. Love the costumes. I have seen a little devil, horsie, cow, skeleton, and a pumpkin in E's size so far. Not sure on which one I'll get him yet.
  21. We've got a couple we're considering... one of which is the snail Megan posted (I love it, but I'm afraid G would throw a fit).

    Other options:

BuyCostumes -- Tom Arma Elephant Signature Collection (DH thinks it's stupid, but I LOVE it, lol)

BuyCostumes -- Lobster Infant (G loves red, but I imagine this will just irritate him... still cute)

Scarecrow Costume - Halloween Costumes for Infants
  22. KK, that elephant is too adorable!!!!

Chris's friends have a running joke that he is Shrek (making me Fiona I suppose), mostly because of the attitude, size, grace, etc... so we are probably going to go with one of these
  23. I really like the elephant costume. G would love chewing on the trunk too, so he might be distracted from the fact that something would be on his head. The trunk in his mouth might make for cute pictures too . I hope DH caves in and agrees to it...
  24. I thought the lobster was pretty cute too. It would look so funny with a baby crawling around!

TTG, I'd go with the donkey. That is so adorable!
  25. We decided to go with Peter Pan .

  26. Keely-- does you hubby not like that elephant b/c it sort of has a, UHHH, *ahem* , phallic look to it? My hubby would oppose that as well!!!!! lol

About the snail, I got to thinking about it, and I don't think that would work very well b/c it wouldn't be easy to sit up in a stroller or wagon or anything in that...(or be held), and I know we are not going to let C crawl around on the road while all the kids are trick-or-treating!! So, that's out I guess, but it is so cute!!!

I'm still looking. We might let him be a goat. It's a pretty funny costume. I'll see if I can find it.
  27. Ok, turns out the back is just a velcro on thing, so maybe I'm back to loving this one. He could take it off if it got too heavy or problematic....

Can't find a pic of the goat we liked. There are other goats online, but not *the* goat. Oh well.
  28. I am still at a loss as far as what to find for Logan. Maybe while we are out and about this weekend, we will look around! I have seen a couple stores with their Christmas stuff up already, so I know that the stores have their Halloween stuff up!
  29. Max is going to be a Scarecrow..
  30. so cute, everyone!
  31. We got G's Peter Pan costume, and it's HUGE. He can't wear it, so he's going to be Harry Potter instead . We have the glasses, the owl, and the outfit... DH's mom is making a little cloak and hat (because nobody makes them to fit his little self). He looks SO FUNNY in the glasses.
  32. omg, Keely, that sounds so cute!! I can't wait to see pics of your little Harry Potter.
  33. I found these I like...tootsie roll and chili pepper. I'll probably let E be a cow tho. He sure eats like one

    Chili Pepper Infant Costume

    Tootsie Roll® Infant's Bunting Costume
  34. KK...that does sound so cute. I want to see pics of him in it too! I think after H-ween we should all post pics of the kiddies all dressed up!
  35. Those are soo cute! Love the chili pepper! I still haven't figured out J's outfit.
  36. Jax will be a cutie patootie no matter what he wears!

I can't find it online but 2 years ago (maybe 3 the last time D went trick or treating against my better judgement ) I had seen a toddler, probably Jax's age w/ a toilet paper roll costume. it was the cutest thing! It wasn't paper....it was round with a few "squares" of TP hanging and a hat that looked like a wad of TP. The kid looked so darn cute. I wish I would have asked the mother where she got it/who made it. I never thought in a million years that I would be worrying about H costumes again tho
  37. LOL toilet paper costume...

I think that's a great idea... we should all post pics of our kids in their costumes..

Max looks so cute in his scarecrow.. we took his 3 months prof pics and had them do some of him in his costume.. OMG.. i can't wait to get the pics... i'll def scan them and post them online.

can't wait to see everyone's child dressed up.
  38. Well.. the results are in. Cale is going to be a skunk. It is so cute. He looked hilarious in the hat/head thingy, but I hope he'll keep it on. He wasn't too keen on it in the store, but oh well. I can't wait to see him all dressed up.

    KK, Harry Potter! HA!!

MMambo... I can't wait to see the scarecrow!!! So cute!
  39. The girls are going to be pink poodles this year. Last year they were bumble bees. I think the Harry Potter costume sounds cute! Oh and the skunk too!
  40. Griffin is going to be .....himself AKA a little devil! I got a tail bow tie and head band kit at the store and just going to use a red sweat suit and his own little devilish attitude. He actually loves wearing my headbands around so I don't think it will be problem keeping it on but I did think of putting the horns on a favorite baseball cap. His horns show through sometime when he is wearing that anyway! Can't wait to see everyone's picture!
  41. i've seen the skunk costume.. well i've seen two versions of it.. both are adorable.. how cute!

    pink poodles.... awe!! so cute!

    haha little devil!

OMG, I bet that will be sooo cute! When I was preg w/ my last son I thought for a few months I was having a girl. I had a TON of pink poodle clothes picked out and actually wanted to do "her" room in it
I am a poodle fan tho, I have a 4 lb poodle named Alexa

MM...I bet max will look so good as a scarecrow! Can't wait til you get those pics back!

IU....I seen a skunk costume, it is so cute. C will look adorable in it!

QS... being himself as a little devil...too cute
  43. Ava is going to be a ladybug. We found the cutest costume from Babystyle, so cute that they sold out in August. It took me 2 weeks to win it on e-bay. We just got it on Saturday and she is adorable in it. I thought she would kick and scream when we put it on but she thinks it is the coolest thing ever. I wil have to post a pic.
