One woman's journey through life as a mom.
I have a confession to make. I am totally addicted to reading mommy (and daddy) blogs. The funny thing is that most of these people probably have no clue who the hell I am, but I like reading their stories. There are only a few that I visit regularly and others I have only seen a couple of times, but they made that much of an impression on me that I am going to include them in my list. I like them all for different reasons and will try to explain why below.
So, if you are on my list (or even if you are not and you just want to be), please consider taking the 30 seconds it takes to do the quick register on my forums and leave me a comment so I don’t feel like a crazy stalker. :p You never know, you just might like hanging around all the amazing (and cool, hip, smart, funny, awesome, beautiful….) mamas that make up this community, as much as I do.
Without further ado, here is my list of my 15 favorite mommy blogs:
The ones I totally stalk:
1. Sinead @ BreastfeedingMums Blog – I got hooked on her blog after reading some of her comments on another blog (listed right below), started reading and can’t stop checking back.
2. Andi @ Mama Knows Breast – When her blog first launched, I got an email from a mutual friend we have telling me that Andi was writing a book and just started a blog about breastfeeding. We went to the same sleep away summer camp as kids, but don’t think we were ever there at the same time. Whatever the case, I feel like I “know” her so I am addicted to checking her blog for new posts.
3. Kailani @ An Island Life – I think I found her blog through the Carnival of Family Life which I have been participating in for a few weeks (or months?). I will be hosting it here the first week in May. I love the site design and she’s just cool because she’s from Hawaii. 
Ones I check out regularly:
4. The Parentography Blog. I found this either in a magazine or through random web searching when it first launched. I think I was in Japan (or was it Thailand?) at the time and it really appealed to me because it has to do with travel.
5. Organizing Junkie – ok, those of you guys on the forums that are participating in the Cleaning Challenge are going to be addicted to her site. She is very inspiring and offers challenges on her blog all the time to help people get motivated and organized.
6. Casual Keystrokes – I have no idea how I found this site, probably through another blog carnival because I remember participating in one and doing a post entitled Tales from the Playdate Files. I think it was (one of, if not THE) first blog to link to me in a post and I thought that was super cool. Since then I’ve been hooked.
7. Parent Hacks – really cool site with some great tips and info.
The ones I check every so often because I like the site design, the moms are hot blondes, and they are really entertaining writers:
8. The Mommy Blog – what can I say, I really like the logo. HA! Seriously, I do and I think it’s super cool that she’s an author.
9. RockStar Mommy – hil.ar.ious and her site looks cool!
The ones I visit occasionally:
10. Motherhood Uncensored – because she tells it like it is and doesn’t hold anything back – thus the name. Warning: it’s not for the faint of heart.
11. Amalah – she dyed her hair pink for the cause (breast cancer) – now that is cool!
12. Plain Jane Mom – she has three boys less then three years apart and she has lots of interesting stuff to say.
13. The Lactivist – lots of good info on breastfeeding news and controversy
14. Be A Good Dad – this is a new find, but I am enjoying it very much so far. It is nice to get see a dad’s perspective on things…..
which brings me to a great disappointment. I completely forgot the name/URL of another daddy blog I once came across that was hilarious. It was so cute. The dad always posted conversations he had with his toddler during the day b/c he was a SAHD. (ring a bell to anyone???)
Soooo, for my last one, I am going to pick a random blog that I’ve read at one point or another and definitely enjoy. And it goes to…….
