Fifteen things that remind me of childhood:
1. my little pony – how pretty were they?!?! omg, I loved these things. I was obsessed with brushing their hair.
2. cabbage patch kids – my first one looked like a mini version of myself, of course, since it was my baby! Her name was Cora and she had the cutest brown pigtails, big brown eyes and pudgy cheeks. I eventually got a boy, a preemie, and one of those animals, but I can’t remember what they were called. Anyone?
3. garbage pail kids – the girl’s version of baseball cards?
4. strawberry shortcake – I also really liked blueberry muffin. I think she was my favorite.
5. building forts – my brother and I had such a blast doing this with our dad’s help. climbing and jumping all over the place. ahhh the memories.
6. bike rides – yes, I had a little pink huffy with a flower basket. wish I had a picture!!
7. tea parties – I was a great host. I had a little table and chair set in my room (and a high chair too) that I would put all my dollies in and serve them tea while chatting it up.
8. slumber parties – we’d watch movies, eat snacks and talk about boys for what we thought was all night. (probably was only like 10 pm) lol
9. neon clothes – absolutely hideous. what were we (or our moms) thinking???
10. Disney World – living in Florida, this was an annual family trip.
11. macaroni and cheese – from the box. mmm. my brother made this for us when my parents went out for the night and he was babysitting me. we had so much fun!
12. feeding the ducks – we had a lake in the neighborhood that I grew up in and my best friend and I would spend countless afternoons hanging out on the grass just hanging out and feeding the ducks.
13. rainbow brite – cuz she was cool. kinda like the punky brewster of dolls.
14. mix tapes - I think I must have thought I was a DJ or something. I would spend hours in my room taping songs off the radio from my boom box. I’d even throw in some fake interviews and voice overs.
15. ice skating – every weekend!! I even took lessons. ha! If you could see me now……..I have like zero coordination.
