Fifteen things I love about kids

Kids - I just love them! Obviously I love mine with all my heart and soul, but I truly love all of my friends’ kids and I love watching them and learning from them. This week my Friday Fifteen is a list of 15 things I love about little kiddos.
I love:
their innocence;
their silliness;
their voices and the way they say things;
their imagination and creativity;
the way their eyes light up when they are amazed;
their amazement and wonder at so many new things;
the way they find joy in everything, even the most mundane things;
how they interact with each other;
the way they call for “mommy” when they are scared, hurt, tired, hungry, or just want some physical contact or attention;
how everyone and everything is their “friend”;
how quickly they can be distracted and forget about what was bothering them 5 seconds ago;
how smart they are;
their laughs and how much they actually love to laugh and have fun;
their little hands and feet and bellies and cheeks; and
how individual they all are, even at such a young age!
Don’t they just amaze you?! What are some things you love about kids?

I love how dramatic their reactions are. It always tickles me to see how excited they get over such simple things.
I love that they appreciate simple things.
I love their honesty. If one tells you that you are ugly you can bet your sweet
I love how they view the world. All the sickness, wars, pain, poverty, etc... in the world thru the eyes of a child the world is one big wonderful place.
I love their laughter, so carefree and true.
I love their imaginations.
I love their hugs and kisses, when a child hugs you the world and all your worries stop for a moment.
I love looking into their eyes. They are so full of hope and opportunity.
I wish we were all more like kids. The world would be a much better place.
The other day, we were at a red light beside a cemetery. I wasn't paying attention to where we were. Naomi said something about the pretty flowers. I looked out the opposite window, saw weeds, and just sort of "mmm hhmmed". She asked me to look, so I did, realizing where we were. I didn't say anything, then she says in this totally content voice, "Those are pretty flowers. I like that place." It brought tears to my eyes.
