Beaming with pride!

I am SUCH a proud mama and there are times that I just want to shout it from the roof top. Now is one of those times! There is no particular reason. I’m just sitting here doing my usual morning laptop routine, getting lost in what I’m doing and I look up to see my son concentrating with his stacking cups. He’s just standing there right across from me, keeping himself busy and having a grand ole time playing by himself. He is stacking the cups in perfect order inside one another. Then he takes them out, one by one and builds a tower. He catches me watching, says with huge excitement “tower” and knocks it down, all the while gleefully laughing. It is so cute and I literally just beamed with pride.

  1. Awww, those moments are the best.
  2. AWW!

and I have to say, I just ador eit when Andy plays all by imself and so well!
  3. That is TOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute. I have to admit that I didn't know this type of love truly existed until I had cale. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my nieces and nephews, and I have always thought kids were fabulous. But, it is sheer joy when *YOUR* child does *ANYTHING* that makes you smile. I about drop dead when I look at him and he smiles and coos at me as if to say, "That's my mom. She is the most fabulous person I've ever laid eyes on." He just melts me. I can't imaging seeing the stuff you describe. I can't wait!! I'm beam when the boy rolls over!!!!!!

And it just keeps getting better and better, Megan. Just wait until Cale leans over, out of the blue, for a kiss from you. That is pure bliss right there.
  5. ohhhhh goodness yes, when Kaitlyn reaches for me to pick her up it melts my heart. And the smile she gives me when I walk into her room in the morning..... awwwwwww nothing sweeter.
  6. Andy has just learned the kissing thing... except it is more like open mouth leaning in and slobbering.. but I love it! And when he gives hugs he pats my shoulder like I do his back... melts me everytime!!!
  7. My favorite, is what I call the "sweet potato smile". B sits in my lap to eat breakfast, and he suddenly looks up at me and grins huge with his mouth full of baby food. His lips and gums are covered with orange sweet potatoes and it is soooooooooo cute!
