Baby Talkers Give-A-Way Contest!
Baby Talkers is having a contest! It is open to everyone: members of the forums, bloggers, or anyone who happens to be passing through. There are a few simple rules, but before we get into the technical stuff, I will tell you the Grand Prize! Everyone wants to know the prize first, right? Drum roll please……….. you can be the proud new owner of an awesome:
Nesting Pillow
(in this very pattern, cool as it is - you can click for a larger view) courtesy of the great ladies at Blessed Nest! This is a $79 value guys and it totally rocks. I have one myself and it is so comfy! The inside pillow is made of 100% organic cotton canvas and filled with organic buckwheat hulls. Although it is technically a nursing pillow, you can use it as a pillow or reading “nest” for your little one if you are not currently breast feeding.
I will be doing a drawing for the winner and there are several different ways for you to win. So now for the rules!
Comment: Leave a comment here on why you’d like to win the Nesting Pillow. That gives you one entry. If you tell me about your favorite breast feeding moment in your comment, you get two entries.
Blog it: If you blog about your favorite breast feeding moment and link to the contest post (that would be this post right here) you get three entries into the drawing.
* In order to submit your blog posting so that I know you get an extra three entries into the drawing, you need to EMAIL the link to me at babytalkersATgmailDOTcom
Digg it: This entry has been submitted to Digg.com, and if you’re a Digg user, you can Digg It! Digging it gives you one entry into the contest. Signing up for Digg is free, so it’s worth your while to join if you aren’t already a member!
Share it: Are you a member of another parenting forum other than the Baby Talkers forums? (which, btw, if you are not already a member here, why not sign up? It’s free and just takes a minute. You can then comment on this post, as well as any others around this happening place! Remember, commenting on this post is an extra entry for you.)
You’ve got a couple of options here. You can post about the contest at your favorite forum and let your forum friends know how to enter. Please don’t spam a forum though. When in doubt, ask the forum owner for permission. Alternatively, you can place the link to this entry in your forum signature, along with something like “Win the BabyTalkers contest!” Sharing on a forum gives you one entry into the contest. Again, email me at babytalkersATgmailDOTcom if you go with this option so I know!
Create It: Think you’ve got a creative method for sharing the contest that I haven’t come up with? Let me know, and you may just be awarded bonus entries! Email me your ideas at babytalkersATgmailDOTcom for extra entries!
So let’s recap, shall we?

The contest will run until July 21. In the last week of the month, I’ll pick an entry at random from everyone who commented on the contest post or blogged about it or Dugg it! I’m going to need that week to compile entries and see who is getting their name put into the hat multiple times. I’ll post the winner here by the end of the month, along with a link to the winner’s blog, if they have one.
Oh and one more thing, for those of you who don’t win, but still really really want the prize, Blessed Nest is giving the Baby Talker’s members/readers an exclusive coupon for 10% off all of their products. Just type in BT10 at checkout.
Have fun, and good luck!

And a favorite breastfeeding moment? Hmm....I love them all! Mostly I just love the snuggly closeness and time to reconnect with my son. He's so big and independent in a lot of ways, but those nursey cuddles remind me of how much of a baby he still is.
Why you want to win the prize: It would be great to try out, and my SIL is actually due in August with her 3rd child. I'm sure she could use a nice new nursing pillow for her first little girl
My favorite breastfeeding moment: I love all of our moments together, but my favorite has to be the first time we really *got* it. He was just so proud of himself, and so was I
My favorite breastfeeding moment? I'm not a mommy - so I guess I don't have one - except for my SIL embarrassing me because I'd never been around it before when I FIRST got married... which is really more a silly on me than anything! Gosh I was odd about things!
Favorite breastfeeding moment? I am not a mom (yet) but I plan on nursing my babies when they come. I would have to say that my favorite breastfeeding moment would have to be my mom choosing to breastfeed me. She did not nurse my older brother so I was her first. I am thankful that she made that choice for me and her.
My favorite nursing memory is any of the thousand times I have had to play the piano at my church on Sunday morning for the congregation with my newborn strapped to my chest in the baby carrier nursing away! It is always so amazing how no one even knows he is eating, even though I am up in front of so many people. I love the freedom of breastfeeding, and all the new products that make it easier to do while you are living life! And isn't it great how mommies are truly multitaskers?
As I think about my favorite breastfeeding moment I am taken back to each of my baby's births. Holding them and cuddling each of them for the first time brings back such wonderful memories of joy and hapiness. Fortunately, I was able to breastfeed each of my babies soon after birth (with the exception of my twins, as they were too tiny to nurse at birth.) Each time I put my tiny baby to my chest and gave that baby the nourishment and comfort that only a mommy can, I felt so awed by the process that only God could design!
I look forward to the same connection I will have with this new little one coming soon.
I have linked to this contest on From Dates to Diapers... I will email you the direct link to my post.
Thank you for a fabulously unique contest, with such a great prize!
My favorite nursing moment was about a month into it, when I realized I really didn't care where we were or who saw me nursing my daughter. Modesty doesn't have anything to do with breastfeeding, at least it shouldn't. I was never a "lactivist" so to speak but I ended up bfing for over two years and my daughter never took a single bottle. She's three now and has only had a fever twice in her life, which I definitely attribute to nursing. I am hoping the new baby takes to it just as easily.
i do not have a best breast feeding moment because the hospital missed three infections which made me unsuitable for breast feeding so i missed out on that special moment with my daughter.
and the prize goes to.................
YOUNG MOMMY!!!
Thanks for participating everyone. I hope you enjoyed the contest.
