15 Healthy Summer Snacks for Kids

1. Yogurt and fresh fruit
2. Nuts and dried fruit
3. Carrots and hummus
4. Applesauce and graham crackers
5. Ants on a log (celery with peanut butter or cream cheese and raisins)
6. Apple or banana with peanut butter
7. Whole grain crackers with cheese
8. Fruit and string cheese
9. Avocado and whole grain crackers
10. Melon (watermelon, cantelope, and/or honeydew) and cottage cheese
11. Fruit and cheese kabobs
12. Rolled turkey breast slices, and or rolled low fat cheese slices and pear, apple, or peaches thinly sliced
13. Mini quesadilla or burrito (whole grain tortilla) with veggies and cheese
14. Smoothie (you can “hide” tons of healthy stuff in here)
15. Cucumber slices and salad dressing

**Remember that nuts, granola, whole grapes, raisins and peanut butter are choking hazards for young children.

  1. YAY!! I am so proud to say that I have fed all of this to dd, minus the allergens and choking hazards. I love feeding her healthy food and it is not hard because she is a little piglet and eat anything I put in front of her.
