Toddlers love to help!
Toddlers like to help mommy (and daddy) do their chores. It makes them proud. When you ask your toddler to do a task for you, they think it’s the best job in the world. Some things they know how to do that may help you keep them included are:
Laundry - Even young kids can sort laundry or put clothes in a basket or in the washing machine as you hand them the clothing.
Picking up toys - Have low, open shelves or baskets that make it easy for your child to place toys back where they belong.
Yard work - Kids can rake leaves or water the plants.
Dusting - Hand your child a rag and watch them drag it on the floor or anywhere else.
Recycling - After you sort the recyclables, hand them to your child to put in the appropriate bins.
Mail - Hand your child your stack of bills and let him/her put it in the mailbox….or give them the junk mail and let them tear it apart.
