I can’t control myself. All I want to do is buy every age-appropriate toy out there for my kiddo. Scratch that, I want to buy every car, train, plane, art, and activity toy out there whether it’s made for someone his age or not! There’s something about seeing my son’s eyes light up when Thomas the Tank Engine, Elmo or Lightning McQueen appears in his sight line.

My 30th birthday was at the beginning of October and I received monetary gifts from family members in hopes that I’d buy some nice clothes or something else that I’ve wanted for myself.

The truth is, I just want to buy things for my son. Every day this week I’ve been to another store looking for new toys - Toys R Us, Target, Baby Depot, heck even the drug store Walgreens so I could buy him a mini table and chairs. I still plan on hitting Wal-mart this week as well.

What 18 month old doesn’t need a play kitchen, a train set, cars, airplanes, an Elmo doll, a tent, balls, new sheets, books, crayons and of course an outdoor playground? Mine certainly does….NOT!
