Fifteen things I love about the Holidays

Fifteen things I love about the holidays:

1. Snow – not that we get any here in the land of sun and rain, but we like to travel and winter time brings us the opportunity to go visit the snow.

2. Christmas decorations – the beautifully done up trees and all the lights on houses that shine at night are great!

3. Parties – I’m actually one of those people that likes to get dressed up and attend a semi-formal Christmas party. The food, the drinks, the music, the mingling – I love it!

4. Giving gifts – I love shopping for gifts for my son and all of my friends’ kids.

5. Holiday cards – I love seeing the adorable photos that my friends send of their families!

6. Specialty drinks – hot chocolate, hot apple cider, peach schnapps, Bailey’s – this is really the only time of year that I drink these delicious concoctions.

7. Candy – need I say more?

8. Winter clothes – I love being able to actually wear a sweater.

9. Cool weather

10. People are nice – No question you’ll find your scrooges out there, but for the most part, people seem to be celebrating the season.

11. Straight hair without frizz – when the humidity leaves town so do my frizzies and I love it.

12. Sales

13. Catching up with old friends – I always seem to run into or get a phone call or email from old friends at this time of year.

14. Christmas music – I don’t like all the songs, but the real catchy ones like “Jingle Bell Rock” really get me to sing along and smile.

15. Presents – I like getting presents. Can ya blame me?
