3 Months and Smiling

My son is smiling more than ever now that hes hit the 3 month mark. I hear this is normal.

Every morning after my wife feeds him, she brings him back to our bed in his pajamas or new outfit for the first half of the day. However, within the last 1-2 weeks he has been routinely smiling in overdrive during the 8-11am time frame. Its extremely cute. He usually wants to take a nap or we take him on an outing so he gets to either smile in his swing or car seat. He really is responding well to the car seat bar toys we have put on that my wife picked up at Target.

He loves to smile before he spits up. It must be a reactionary thing?

From the morning till afternoon this little guy makes as many smiles as he possibly can. He will smile in his car seat if you make the slightest laugh or funny face. The trick is contentment. If he is content, he will smile. One small poop or pee in his diaper and he breaks out the crying face.

My boy likes to smile.

As the day progresses he tends to smile less, but this just means I have to work harder to make him smile using one of my “funny faces.”
